Personal Information
The only personal information we have is that which you provide us. Currently, your name and email address when you complete an online quiz game or request our free sample quiz. This information is not passed on to anybody else and never will be. As the end game page says, your name (or screen id if you prefer) is displayed on the site in the high score tables. We may use your email address to inform you of any new exciting developments on the Quizmania site from time to time however. If you do not wish to receive email from us like this we always give you option to opt out of future mail.
Credit card purchases
To ensure the highest levels of privacy and security regarding online purchases, we use the highly secure and respected payment services provided by Protx. Here is their
Privacy Policy. Credit card payments are made through the Protx web site which ensures a secure connection and safe handling of your credit card details. Quizmania hold no credit card details. We receive payment acknowledgement direct from Protx and no other details are held with us.
Cookies
A cookie is simply a small file left on your machine when you visit a web site.
How the cookie is used is the important thing. When you visit Quizmania we generate a unique visitor number and leave this in a cookie on your machine, if you return to our site (we hope you do!) we know if you are a returning visitor or not.
This enables us to produce more meaningfull stats about our sites visitors.
That's all we use it for.
No personal information, preferences or anything else is stored in the cookie.
HTTP standards dictate that a cookie can only be read by the web site (or URL) that stored it, so although it's just a number, no other web site can read the one we leave.
Our advertisers, such as Google may leave cookies too, these are called 3rd party cookies as they do not belong to us but the 3rd party. Here is Googles
